The Ambili Chandham between black and white; Jinto Thomas, a native of Chakkittapara, with the features of Iruniram

Iruniram', directed by Jinto Thomas, a native of Chakkittapara, says that people should be recognized as human beings beyond color and caste. Here are the details of the film, which stars Thanmaya Soul in the lead role.

Jinto Thomas, the scriptwriter of the state award-winning 'Kaadakalam', is preparing for release. Thanmaya Soul, who gained national attention through Rajinikanth's film Vettaiyan, is in the lead role. The film talks about the problems that the discrimination between black and white that exists in the general society causes in a seventh-grader named Ambili.

'This film speaks to those who still live with caste and color thoughts. There is still a wall here that separates white and black. That wall is what we are trying to break,' said Jinto Thomas.

Jinto Thomas entered the film industry...

Jinto was born in the hilly village of Chakkitappara, the son of a farmer. Cinema has been his passion since childhood. Sibi Malayil's film school in Kochi opened the door for him. After studying direction there, he became an assistant in commercials. He became an assistant in everything from scripts to films like Leo Thaddeus's Cinemakaran and Lonappan's Mamodeesa. Later, he became the chief assistant director and screenwriter of Dr. Sakhil Raveendran in the film 'Kaadakalam'. It is a story that took place in the life of a doctor. I liked the story because it tells the problems of those people through a child. State award-winning child actor Da Vinci Satheesh played the lead role. Da Vinci's father Satheesh and a Kottayam man appeared in other roles. It is the story of a father and son.  The film tells the story of the forest, tribals, their problems and the survival of the forest. Kadakalam won two state awards. The award for the best film for children. B.K. Harinarayanan won the award for the best lyricist. Later, he made a replica and directed a session called 'Anthony' in the anthology film 'Patachonre Kathakal', which was released on Book My Show.

Iruniram

Vishnu K. Mohan, the screenwriter of 'Anthony', has prepared the story and screenplay for the new film Iruniram. Village office employee Venu and his daughter Ambili live in a beautiful village. Ambili's mother is deceased. Both are Dalits and black. Therefore, they face caste and colour discrimination. Since he got a job through reservation, even Venu's studies are not accepted by his colleagues.  Ambili decides not to go to school because her teachers and classmates make fun of her. The story is about her teacher's efforts to get Ambili back to school. Iruniram tells...

Amidst the discrimination at school, Ambili decides to somehow become white. She thinks that white is the best color and even her classmates will accept her only if she is white. Ambili's teacher says that if she finds the best color, she will tell her the medicine to whiten her skin. Thus, this film is Ambili's journey in search of the best color in the world. This story is set against the backdrop of some incidents that have taken place in different parts of the world related to color and caste. We tell the story from the world of a child.

Even in Kerala, there is an incident where a girl committed suicide because she said that her skin had turned black.  There are views that big companies have turned this society into a market for cosmetics by maintaining the misconception that it should be white. The former Chief Secretary recently revealed that he faced abuse in the name of color.

No matter how much we deny it, caste and color often emerge from the depths of our souls. It even happened in America. Don't you remember the incident where a black thief was trampled to death by a policeman? If you go to Europe, they always mention color. If you come to India, they always mention caste. Even within caste, if the color changes, it is a product of discriminatory thoughts. But, if your hair turns white, you will immediately be asked to dye it black! No one should be changed in the name of color, caste or appearance. There is no caste for blood and tears. This is a movie that says that a person should be recognized as a human being.
